First Black South African Woman to Be Crowned Miss Universe

At the Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, on Sunday ninety women competed for the title of Miss Universe this year.

The 26 years old contestant from South Africa took the crown home after being named Miss Universe 2019.

Zozibini Tunzi is the first black woman from her country to wear the Miss Universe crown. She works as an activist and is particularly passionate about fighting gender-based violence.
