Parfums de Marly’s Athénaïs Brings a Brighter, More Playful Mood to 2026 Fragrance

Parfums de Marly Athénaïs fragrance bottle in the 2026 campaign visual

Parfums de Marly is stepping into 2026 with a fragrance that feels lighter, brighter, and more overtly playful than some of the maison’s more familiar signatures. Called Athénaïs, the new scent introduces a floral ambery composition built around radiance and contrast, balancing sparkling citrus freshness with a softer, more addictive warmth.

That sense of duality sits at the heart of the launch. Athénaïs is presented as a fragrance shaped by flamboyant yet sophisticated feminine energy, opening with neroli, bergamot, and yuzu before settling into a warmer trail of tonka bean, vanilla, and amber. The result is a scent story that feels youthful and expressive, but still polished enough to remain within Parfums de Marly’s luxury world.

Athénaïs opens on citrus, then softens into warmth

The composition is one of the launch’s strongest points. The fragrance opens with neroli essence, bergamot essence, and yuzu essence, followed by a floral heart of jasmine sambac absolute and orange flower absolute. In the base, tonka bean, vanilla, and amber create a warmer, more enveloping finish.

That structure gives Athénaïs a clear contrast between brightness and softness. It feels energetic at first, then gradually more sensual, which gives the fragrance a polished sense of movement rather than a flat sweetness.

A more playful side of the maison

What makes Athénaïs interesting is not only the note pyramid, but the tone of the launch. Parfums de Marly has often traded in rich, sweeping signatures with strong presence and historical framing. Athénaïs still nods to that world, drawing inspiration from Athénaïs de Montespan and the feminine mythology of the French court, but the visual identity is noticeably more buoyant.

The coral-toned bottle, pink-orange juice, and pop-coloured campaign language make the fragrance feel more flirtatious and extroverted than austere. That shift gives the house a useful point of contrast within its broader portfolio. Rather than abandoning sophistication, Athénaïs reframes it through brightness, warmth, and a more spontaneous emotional register.

Why Athénaïs feels timely

For BOUJEEZ, that is what makes the launch worth noting. Athénaïs arrives with a clear visual world, a strong feminine signature, and enough personality to stand apart in a crowded fragrance landscape. It does not rely on minimalism or familiarity. Instead, it leans into colour, radiance, and a more spirited kind of femininity.

That makes the fragrance feel cohesive from bottle to formula. The image, the notes, and the mood all point in the same direction. In that sense, Athénaïs is less about reinvention than recalibration. It shows Parfums de Marly loosening its silhouette slightly, without losing its sense of refinement. For 2026, that lighter touch feels exactly right.
