Neil Gaiman’s celebrated comic book series finally comes to the screen, with Tom Sturridge (Velvet Buzzsaw) portraying Morpheus, the Lord of Dreams. A series more than a decade in the works, The Sandman certainly has a high bar set for it, given that Gaiman’s far-reaching fantasy saga is widely regarded as one of the greatest stories ever told in the medium of comics. Sturridge is joined in the cast by Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones) as Lucifer, Boyd Holbrook (Logan) as The Corinthian, and Vivienne Acheampong (The Witches) as Lucienne.

This espionage action film is an MCU reunion for filmmakers the Russo brothers and screenwriters Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, who previously teamed up to deliver some of the biggest movies of all time in The Avengers: Infinity Warand Endgame, as well as multiple installments of Marvel’s Captain America solo franchise. As if that wasn’t enough to pique your interest, they have Cap himself, actor Chris Evans, portraying the sadistic villain in this blockbuster project. He’s joined by Ryan Gosling in the film’s lead role, playing a deadly CIA agent who finds himself on the run from the agency after discovering damning information they want to keep hidden. Gosling and Evans are joined by Ana de Armas (Knives Out), Jessica Henwick (Iron Fist), and Regé-Jean Page (Bridgerton), among other familiar faces in the cast of the film, which is one of the most expensive Netflix original films to date.
